Realistic period characters come alive as the reader is taken through the tumultuous conflict between Spain and England during the counter reformation. This is a sea adventure story with action and intrigue and is hard to put own.
This sea tale is perfect for readers who appreciate Patrick O’Brien (the Aubrey/Maturin series), Herman Melville (Moby Dick), and Robert Louis Stevenson (Treasure Island).
